I love it when I have the opportunity to throw a party with a theme that I’ve been thinking about for years, but have never had the right excuse to do it. Well, a few weeks ago I finally got the opportunity to throw an Alice in Wonderland Party and it was AMAZING! If I do say so myself.

I have been wanting to doing a superhero party for a while and with the new Avengers movie out, it was the perfect time! This party was so much fun, I love the bright colors, the kids (and adults) loved the games, masks, and capes, and I loved how the cake turned out! In this podcast I’ll cover how-to’s for the masks, capes, cake, comic popcorn cones, Hulk smash wall, Hawkeye bad guy target shoot, and lots of food and decorating ideas.

Star Wars mania is here again! I was one of the lucky ones who saw the original on the big screen in ’77 and I’ve been a fan ever since. So now that The Force Awakens is out, it was the perfect time to throw a Star Wars Party!
Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th be with you!
Here’s what happens when you let kids attack a 70″ Stormtrooper balloon with pool noodle light sabers! Enjoy!

I have been looking forward to doing a Star Wars party for a very long time and now that The Force Awakens is out on DVD and Star Wars mania is here again, I thought this was the perfect time! Plus, as many of you know, May the Fourth (ya know, like May the Force …) is Star Wars Day, so it’s a win all the way around!

Who doesn’t love a good 80’s party! I’m mean, the 80’s were like so totally awesome, ya know?! The music, the hair, the clothes, the shoulder pads, the movies, the horrendous home decor of sticks in a vase, black lacquer with pastels, and Nagel prints (wow, I just described my bedroom from 1986), and the ever present danger of nuclear war … good times.

Easter is almost here and that means it’s time to decorate those Easter eggs and get ready for the Easter bunny! I even made my own bunny ears this year to get into the spirit. The ears are kind of adorable, so sometimes I wear them just for fun. Anyway, today I have some egg decorating ideas to share, how to make pastel deviled eggs, egg shaped Trix marshmallow treats, and how to make your own bunny ears!

St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t have to be all about leprechauns and green beer. I’m all about a good party, but getting vomited on by a stranger on the street at 3:00 in the afternoon is not my idea of a good time.
Instead, I decided to do a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner at home with a few green and gold touches and a shamrock or two.

Not everyone is into the lovey-dovey, ooey-gooey celebration of Valentine’s Day. You may be single or perhaps in a couple but just don’t like the over the top mush that is Valentine’s Day. Let’s face it, the restaurants are overcrowded and have limited menus, flowers are crazy expensive, and if you’re single you don’t want to be surrounded by couples making googly eyes at each other all night. So my solution? Throw an ANTI-Valentine’s Day Party! It doesn’t mean you don’t love love (you can have a date with your special someone anytime), but on Valentine’s Day you can have a lot of fun with ALL your friends, single or not, with an Anti-Valentine’s theme!
