Easter is almost here and that means it’s time to decorate those Easter eggs and get ready for the Easter bunny! I even made my own bunny ears this year to get into the spirit. The ears are kind of adorable, so sometimes I wear them just for fun. Anyway, today I have some egg decorating ideas to share, how to make pastel deviled eggs, egg shaped Trix marshmallow treats, and how to make your own bunny ears!
St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t have to be all about leprechauns and green beer. I’m all about a good party, but getting vomited on by a stranger on the street at 3:00 in the afternoon is not my idea of a good time.
Instead, I decided to do a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner at home with a few green and gold touches and a shamrock or two.
Pinterest is full of crafty ideas that utilize the paint chips that you pick up at the home improvement store. So today I decided to put some of those crafts to the test and see if my versions turned out similar to the ones on Pinterest! My goal was to make my finished products look like the images I found on Pinterest while spending the least amount of money possible. Today’s projects include a mini square gift box with lid, favor gift holders, a mobile, owl wall art, and a flower canvas.
This is such a fun theme for a party! I love the glam of old Hollywood…the colors, sparkle, the dresses, the hair and makeup, the fabrics, textures, lights, music and so much attitude! You have so much material to work with when planning a Hollywood Glam party! If you’re doing a full out Oscar party, then you can add a Hollywood sign, Oscar statues, sidewalk stars, film reels, etc. to the decor. If you’re going a less literal route for a Hollywood feel (perhaps a New Year’s Eve party or a Birthday party), you can use ostrich feathers, crystals, fabric draping, and lighting to make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
Playoff and Super Bowl season is here! I’ve got some ideas to help set your party apart from the average Super Bowl Party and do it all on a budget! You could even say you would be the MVP of football parties! Yeah, I went there.

Holiday Time at Disneyland Resort is quite possibly my favorite time of year to visit and is always a great inspiration for coming up with new holiday projects. The entire resort is covered in holiday decorations including the massive Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. Some of the rides have been refurbished with special holiday storylines and decorations, including my favorite The Haunted Mansion. There are special holiday entertainment and holiday treats and sweets that you can’t get any other time of the year! First I’ll talk about my top MUST-SEES for Holiday Time at Disneyland Resort (and where I find my holiday project inspiration) then we’ll make some Disney-inspired ornaments!
‘Tis the season to trim the tree and wrap the presents! This is the time of year when I seem to have a permanent light coating of glitter on me at all times…unintentionally. It just gets everywhere! This year I’m just going to tell people I wear glitter because “I’m fancy”. Of course that won’t explain my ink stained fingers and glue in my hair…ah, the holidays.
